LTL Auto

LTL Auto enables automated booking and processing of shipments, including carrier selection, rate shopping, and BOL generation. It streamlines tendering, tracking, and status updates through a fully system-driven workflow.

Creating an LTL Auto Shipment

1. Select Shipment Mode

On the New Shipment page, from the Shipment Mode dropdown, select LTL Auto.

2. Set Pickup Time

Under the Requested Pickup section:

  • Click the calendar icon and select the pickup date.

  • Select the desired pickup time range for your shipment.

3. Set Delivery Time

Under the Requested Delivery section:

  • Click the calendar icon and select the delivery date

  • Select the desired delivery time range for your shipment.

4. Enter Reference Numbers

Under the Reference Numbers section:

  • Enter the Purchase Order (PO) or any reference number associated with your shipment.

  • To add multiple reference numbers, click the plus (+) button.

To add additional reference numbers:

Under the Additional Reference Numbers section:

  • Enter the BOL Number/LDN or any other reference no (s)

  • To add multiple reference numbers, click the + button.

5. Add Special Instructions, if any

  • In the Special Instruction section, enter any specific handling requirements for the shipment.

6. Set Pickup Location

In the left pane, from the Pickup list:

  • Select the pickup location

  • Select the Accessorial(s) if required.

  • Enter the Pickup Instruction, if applicable.

Info: Adding a New Location

To add a new pickup or delivery location:

  1. Click the + Add New Location button.

  2. Enter the required details (e.g., address, contact information, and location name).

  3. Save your changes to use the location for future shipments.

7. Set Delivery Location

In the right pane, from the Delivery list:

  • Select the delivery location

  • Select the Accessorial(s) if required.

  • Enter the Delivery Instruction, if applicable.

8. Add Shipment Item

  • From the Item list, select your shipment item.

To add a new item, click the + button. In the New Item dialog box:

  1. Enter the name of your shipment item

  2. Select the Category

  3. Enter the Item Number

  4. Select the Item Unit, Freight Class

  5. Enter the NMFC#

  6. Enter Dimensions (length, width, height)

  7. Enter the Total Weight of the shipment

  8. Enter the Item Description, if any.

  9. Indicate if the item is Hazmat, Stackable, Perishable, and enter the Handling Quantity

  10. Click Save

9. Enter Item Quantity

Enter the quantity of the item being shipped.

If the item is selected from the list, the Freight Class, Total Weight, and Dimensions etc. will be auto-filled.

10. Select Item Unit

Select the item unit (e.g., bag, box, pieces).

If you select Assign the lowest rate from providers, the system automatically chooses the most cost-effective carrier.

11. Save the Shipment Details

  • To save the shipment and get a quote later, click Save.

On the next page, edit shipment details if needed, then click Get Quotation under the Carrier section to view rates.

  • To save and get a quote immediately, click Save and Get Rates.

The following page opens, showing the shipment details and options for selecting your shipment carrier rates.

Select Carrier

12. Select Service Level

From the Service Level dropdown, select the required service level (Guaranteed/Standard).

A list of providers with estimated cost, date, and vendor details will be displayed.

13. Choose a Carrier

Click Select against the desired provider.

A confirmation page is displayed, summarizing pickup, delivery, item, and carrier details.

Edit any details if necessary.

Verify Details and Confirm Carrier

14. Verify Shipment Details

Review all details to ensure they are correct.

15. Confirm Carrier Selection

Click Confirm Carrier.

16. Review the pickup information and click Confirm.

Confirm Shipment Pickup

The Shipment Confirmed successfully message is displayed at the top-right corner of the screen.
