Create and manage full truckload shipments efficiently

FTL (Full Truckload) shipment is used when a load occupies an entire truck, allowing for direct, faster transit with minimal handling.

Create a Full Truckload Shipment

Follow the steps below to schedule and manage your Full Truckload shipment.

1. Navigate to the Shipments page

In the left pane of the dashboard, click the A stack of boxes on a white background

2. Create New Shipment

  • In the top-right corner of the screen, click the Add New button. (See figure above)

The New Shipment page opens for you to create a new shipment.

3. Select Shipment Mode

• On the New Shipment page, from the Shipment Mode dropdown, select TL.

4. Select Service Type

  • Select Service Type (Expedite/Standard)

5. Set Pickup Time

Under the Requested Pickup section:

a. Click the calendar icon and select the pickup date.

b. Select the desired pickup time range for your shipment.

6. Set Delivery Time

Under the Requested Delivery section:

a. Click the calendar icon and select the delivery date

b. Select the desired delivery time range for your shipment.

7. Enter Reference Numbers

Under the Reference Numbers section:

a. Enter the Purchase Order (PO) or Sales Order (SO) number associated with your shipment.

b. To add multiple reference numbers, click the + plus button.

To add additional reference numbers, under the Additional Reference Numbers section,

a. Enter the BOL Number/LDN or any other reference no (s)

b. To add multiple reference numbers, click the + button.

8. Add Special Instructions, if any

a. In the Special Instruction section, enter any specific handling requirements

for the shipment.

9. Set Pickup Location

In the left pane, from the Pickup list:

a. Select the pickup location

b. Select the Accessorial(s) if required.

c. Enter the pickup Instructions, if applicable.

10. Set Delivery Location

In the right pane, from the Delivery list, select the delivery location

a. Select the Accessorial(s) if required.

b. Enter Delivery Instructions, if applicable.

11. Save the Details

Click Save

The following page is displayed.

Add Item and Carrier

12. Add Item(s) to the Shipment

Click Add Item. The Add Item dialog box opens.

a. Select an existing item or click + to add a new item

b. Enter the Quantity and Unit

c. Click Save

13. Add a Carrier to the Shipment

Click Add Carrier. The Add Carrier dialog box opens.

a. Select an existing carrier or click + to add a new one.

b. Select a vehicle or click + to add a new one.

c. Select a driver or click + to add a new one.

d. Enter the Truck Number and Trailer Info.

e. Click Save.

Once the carrier is added, the system displays the message: Carrier added successfully. The shipment is now ready for confirmation.

14. Generate Required Documents

You can now perform any of the following actions:

  • Generate BOL

  • Add Carrier Rate

  • Upload a Document

The selected documents are generated and displayed.

Add Additional Costs (If applicable)

To add costs:

1. On the right side of the Carrier section, click Add Costs.

2. Enter the applicable cost details as prompted.

3. Click Save

Add Tracker Type

  1. Go to the Tracker Type menu near the Map View

2. Click Add Tracker.

The Tracker Type dialog box opens.

  1. Enter the tracker details

a. Select Tracker Type

b. Enter the Tracking Id

c. Select the start date, time, and time zone

d. Click Save

The ‘tracker type added successfully’ message is displayed.

Tracking begins at the specified time once the tracker type is added. You can begin tracking the shipment when the driver starts the trip.
